How live streaming has become the new normal for DJs

According to European-based DJ Haidak, the world of DJs everywhere has been turned upside down by the global health crisis. Because of the coronavirus, live gigs almost everywhere have been canceled. However, just like most industries, the DJ and music industries have turned to an unconventional way to reach the masses – live streaming.

While live streaming may take a lot of getting used to for both DJs and their fans, it has become a relatively successful avenue to share both music and music appreciation. It has even become a surprising way to raise funding for numerous causes.

Of course, live streaming could not be any more different from gigs in venues and bars, but it has its features that make for an enjoyable experience, nonetheless. For example, when a live stream event takes place, fans can chat with each other in real time. Fans can even interact with DJs, which they could never do in today’s world, where social distancing and safety protocols are heavily implemented.

Haidak believes that DJs, performers, and their fans are fortunate enough that virtual technology exists. It has developed to a point wherein sites like Twitch can give people regular musical events without the risk or threat of COVID-19.

And probably, until nightclubs and other places where DJs shine the brightest are opened again to the public, cyberspace will have to host these shindigs.

Haidak is an up-and-coming DJ and producer who is also passionate about saving the environment. For more of his music, his career, and his advocacies, check out this this page.
